Clark County Fire Station 28 firefighters will host a community Open House Saturday, June 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The station is located at 10820 W. Sahara Ave. (89135). The event will focus on children and pool and heat safety precautions.
The Fire Department host open houses every other month on the second Saturday as a way to become better acquainted with the citizens they serve and to allow families to know more about the men and women who serve their community.
The focus of each open house is different. Organizations partner with the County to make these events successful and helpful and to ensure the most qualified information is made available the day of the event. These family-oriented days raise awareness and help keep the community safer.
Anyone wishing to attend who needs special accommodations for a disability, may call the department in advance to ensure arrangements are made. Contact Kelly Foster at (702) 455-7327 at least five days prior to the open house.
