Emergency Personnel Respond to Mass Shooting
Emergency personnel from Clark County, Las Vegas and surrounding municipalities are responding to a mass shooting that occurred at approximately 10:03 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip in the area between Tropicana Avenue and Russell Road. The gunman, Steven Paddock of Mesquite, NV, is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
At 3:40 p.m. today (Oct. 2), Las Vegas Police Department Sheriff Joe Lombardo confirmed 59 people dead and 527 people injured in the incident that targeted the Route 91 Harvest Festival. The outdoor Country music event attracted thousands locally and nationwide.
We will continue to provide updates to the public about how you can help, what hospitals need to support emergency services and any progress regarding the mass shooting and the police investigation.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking help from the public.
The FBI asking anyone with videos or photos from the shooting incident/ area where the shooting occurred to call 1-800-CALLFBI (255-5324).
Tourism Industry Offer Assistance
Boyd Gaming, Station Casinos and South Point gaming entities along with Siegel Suites is offering accommodations to families needing housing in the wake of the mass shooting. The hotel properties have a select number of rooms available to help families displaced and loved ones traveling here to follow up on families who may have been victims in the shooting.
Clark County Commission Meeting Delayed
The Joint Clark County Board of Commissioners Oct. 3, meeting is delayed in response to mass shooting. The meeting is continued until Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m. in the County Commission Chambers at 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. Public Hearing Items Nos. 48 and 49 will begin at 11:15 a.m.

Counseling Services
The Veterans Affairs Southern Nevada Health Care System & Vet Centers in Las Vegas and Henderson are offering walk-in counseling services.
Same-Day Mental Health Services are available 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at four (4) Las Vegas Valley VA Primary Care Clinics; the North Las Vegas VA Medical Center and both Vet Centers. View Locations where services are available.

Clark County Coroner and Medical Examiners Office
A Family Assistance Center & Family Reunification Center have opened at the Las Vegas Convention Center Exhibit Hall S-2. The center is part of the Clark County Coroner and Medical Examiner’s Office Family Assistance Operations programs. The center is open to assist family members of victims who may have died in Sunday night’s shooting on the Las Vegas Strip. The center is open 24 hours until further notice.

A prayer vigil will begin at 5 p.m. at Las Vegas City Hall, 495 S. Main St.
