City Of Las Vegas Offers Six Free Safe Summer Nights Celebrations
Residents Invited To Selected Neighborhood Elementary Schools April 25-May 16
The city of Las Vegas invites residents to six free Safe Summer Nights celebrations between April 25 and May 16. Community members are invited to enjoy free DJ music, family games, arts and crafts, and free refreshments while supplies last, along with a community health and resource fair at each of six city of Las Vegas ReInvent Schools Las Vegas Safe Summer Nights events.

J.T. McWilliams Elementary School, 1315 Hiawatha Road, Las Vegas, NV 89108
Wednesday, May 1, 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Doris M. Reed Elementary School, 2501 Winwood St., Las Vegas, NV 89108
Thursday, May 2, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Wendell P. Williams Elementary School, 1030 N. J St., Las Vegas, NV 89106
Friday, May 3, 4-6 p.m.
Hollingsworth Elementary School, 1776 E. Ogden Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89101
Thursday, May 9, 5-7 p.m.
Matt Kelly Elementary School, 1900 N. J St., Las Vegas, NV 89106
Thursday, May 16, 5-7 p.m.
Kermit Booker Elementary School, 2277 N. Martin L. King Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89106.
Nonprofit community agencies and organizations wishing to provide valuable information to our community at these resource fairs are encouraged to contact Candace Boring at 702-229-2072 to arrange to participate.
ReInvent Schools Las Vegas focuses on academic achievement, expanded learning opportunities, non-academic student supports, and family and community engagement at underperforming urban core schools. The initiative is a partnership between the Clark County School District and the city of Las Vegas, in collaboration with Communities in Schools and other local nonprofits. ReInvent community schools are hubs where students, their families and the community are united to encourage learning. Thirteen schools, Robert E. Lunt, Red Rock, Kermit R. Booker, West Preparatory Academy, J.T. McWilliams, Wendell P. Williams, Matt Kelly, Rose Warren, Howard Hollingsworth, Doris M. Reed, Arturo Cambeiro, Ollie Detwiler, and Bertha Ronzone, are ReInvent community schools this year. Go online for more information on Reinvent Schools Las Vegas and other education support programs.
