City Of Las Vegas Offers Fall Festival Celebrations
Las Vegas Residents Invited To Selected Neighborhood Elementary Schools Oct. 4-29
The city of Las Vegas invites residents to three free Fall Festival celebrations Oct. 4-29. Community members are invited to enjoy free DJ music, family games, arts and crafts, and free refreshments while supplies last, along with a community health and resource fair at each of three city of Las Vegas ReInvent Schools Las Vegas Fall Festival events.
Events will be held:
Friday, Oct. 4, 4 to 6 p.m.
Lunt Elementary School, 2701 Harris St., Las Vegas, NV 89101
Wednesday, 23, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Arturo Cambeiro Elementary School, 2851 Harris St., Las Vegas, NV 89101
Tuesday, 29, 4 to 6 p.m.
Red Rock Elementary School, 408 Upland Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89107
Nonprofit community agencies and organizations wishing to provide valuable information to our community at these resource fairs are encouraged to contact Candace Boring at 702-229-2072 to arrange to participate.
ReInvent Schools Las Vegas focuses on academic enrichment, expanded learning opportunities, non-academic student supports and family and community engagement at underperforming urban core schools. The initiative is a partnership between the Clark County School District and the city of Las Vegas, in collaboration with Communities in Schools and other local nonprofits. ReInvent community schools are hubs where students, their families and the community are united to encourage learning. Thirteen schools, Robert E. Lunt, Red Rock, Kermit R. Booker, J.T. McWilliams, Wendell P. Williams, Matt Kelly, Rose Warren, Howard Hollingsworth, Doris M. Reed, Arturo Cambeiro, Ollie Detwiler, Vail Pittman and C.C. Ronnow, are ReInvent community schools this year.
