The City Of North Las Vegas Offer Free Training To The Public
If an emergency or disaster happens in your neighborhood, are you prepared to help yourself,
your family or your neighbors? The Southern Nevada Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) can help through free training.
The city of North Las Vegas and Southern Nevada CERT are joining forces to offer a free
CERT course April 1–2.
The two-day course will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the North Las Vegas Fire Administration Building at 4040 Losee Road. This course is open to the public. Advance
registration is required.
The CERT course, which is administered by the city of Las Vegas, teaches students about
disaster preparedness, fire suppression, emergency medical response, search and rescue, terrorism and weapons of mass destruction. Each student will receive a backpack full of emergency supplies for participating.
For more information on the CERT course, or to register, visit the Southern Nevada CERT
website at NVCERT.org or contact Mary Camin at 702-229-0076 or via e-mail at
