Learn About Deputy City Marshal And Corrections Officer Opportunities March 16-April 20
The city of Las Vegas is holding seminars in March and April to educate those interested in
law enforcement careers with the city’s Department of Public Safety on the application, testing, hiring and training process. Presentations will cover how and where to apply for positions of deputy city marshal and corrections officer, how to prepare for the required tests, required background checks, employee benefits, required academy training and certifications, and the timeline for all of this. Officers and city of Las Vegas Human Resources staff will be available at each seminar. Seminars are scheduled as follows:
Thursday, March 16, 5-7 p.m. at Las Vegas City Hall, 495 S. Main St., in second-floor
Council Chambers. Two hours free parking is available at the City Parking Garage at 500 S.
Main St. with a validation at the seminar.
Saturday, March 18, 9-11 a.m. OR 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800
S. Brush St. Free parking is available in the center’s parking lot.
Thursday, March 30, 5-7 p.m. at Las Vegas City Hall, 495 S. Main St., in second-floor
Council Chambers. Two hours free parking is available at the City Parking Garage at 500 S.
Main St. with a validation at the seminar.
Monday, April 10, 5-7 p.m. at Las Vegas City Hall, 495 S. Main St., in second-floor Council
