Marching Bands, Floats And More Part Of Historic Downtown Parade
The annual Las Vegas Helldorado Parade will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14, downtown on Fourth Street. The parade route heads north on Fourth Street from Gass to Stewart avenues.
The parade features marching bands, equestrian groups, civic groups, floats and more
that will be a part of the parade that celebrates the city’s western roots. Coyote 102.7 radio personalities Melissa T. and Todd Michaels will be at the parade to announce the parade entries.
In addition, on Thursday, May 12, at 6 p.m. Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman will be kicking
off Helldorado activities at the Third Street Stage at the Fremont Street Experience. The mayor will be joined by officials from the Pro Bull Riders Inc. and the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge 1468, as well as some of the bulls that will be used in the Helldorado Rodeo.

Helldorado Days, an annual cowboy-themed outdoor festival celebrating Las Vegas’
tribute to the Wild West, offers a daily rodeo and carnival, exhibits and food, as well as a parade, Whiskerino contest, and other activities. Created in 1934, the 82-year civic event has raised more than $4 million during its history to assist local charities. The parade is sponsored by the Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial.
