Concert Celebrates The Music Of Django Reinhardt
DjangoVegas! returns to downtown Las Vegas Saturday, June 18, to celebrate the music of Django Reinhardt and other gypsy jazz musicians past and present. This year’s event will feature the Frank Vignola Trio, The Rhythm Future Quartet, Hot House West, and The Hot Club of Las Vegas.
The concert begins at 6 p.m. with cocktail service and pre-concert entertainment starting at 5 p.m. at the Historic Fifth Street School Auditorium, located at 401 S. The Frank Vignola Trio featuring Andreas Oberg, Gary Mazzaroppi, and well-known guitarist Frank Vignola. Vignola’s skills has made him the guitarist of choice for many of the world’s top musicians, including Ringo Starr, Madonna, Donald Fagen, Wynton Marsalis, Tommy Emmanuel, Mark O Connor, the Boston Pops, the New York Pops, and guitar legend Les Paul. When four young jazz virtuosos decided to join forces, the Rhythm Future Quartet was born. Named after a Django Reinhardt tune, the Rhythm Future Quartet performs dynamic and fiery arrangements of Gypsy jazz standards and original compositions that draw from rhythms heard around the world.
