Halloween isn’t just for kids, but they do tend to make it more enjoyable. Check out these family friendly options in Sin City.
LAS VEGAS (PRWEB) OCTOBER 02, 2015
Starpoint Resort Group enjoys watching families spend time together, and Las Vegas is the perfect destination for a family friendly Halloween celebration. Harvest Festivals, parades, and a little haunting make for a great weekend of family fun.
1. Parade – The 6th Annual Las Vegas Halloween Parade is the perfect opportunity to people watch and see some fantastic entries. The parade begins at 7pm on the 31st and the route runs from 13th Street & Fremont and heads west towards The Strip, stretching less than 1 mile. After the parade, there is a free after party on 3rd Street between Stewart and Odgen, open for all ages.
2. HallOVeen – The Magical Forest on Oakley Blvd hosts HallOVeen every weekend in October from 6pm to 10pm. This family friendly event has games and entertainment appropriate for all. Kids will enjoy Rod’s Monster Mini Golf, The Slightly Scary Snowflake Slide, Cheyenne’s Enchanted Carousel, and Boris the Elf in 3D. Nightly parades, crafts, and movies as well as The Haunted Adventure and The Spooktacular Forest Express Passenger Train round out the fun and fright.
3. Harvest Festival – Starpoint Resort Group knows that Spring Preserve’s Haunted Harvest is one of the best family adventures in Las Vegas. Beginning mid-October and open 5pm to 9pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until Halloween, this affordable admission is perfect for everyone in the family. Carnival games, a petting zoo, crafts, and family bingo are features of this event, as well as live entertainment by Chimps on a Blimp. Traditional Halloween
themed activities include a haunted hay maze, ghost stories, and trick or treat stations.
4. Haunted Shark Reef – Visit the transformed Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay and see what ghosts and goblins have appeared. Listen as rattling chains, creaking doors, and spine-chilling music floods the eerie and dark tunnels that lead to the reef. Even the friendliest looking creature in the aquarium becomes scarier in this haunted atmosphere. The reef is haunted for a few days only, October 31st through November 2nd. Children under 4 are free and those ages 5-12 are $12 with adult tickets costing $18.
