City Of Las Vegas To Host Business Outreach Event June 2
Learn How To Do Business With The City
The city of Las Vegas will host its annual Business Outreach Event to provide suppliers with information about how to better do business with the city Tuesday, June 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Historic Fifth Street School, 401 S. Fourth St.
For more details and to pre-register for the event, visit www.lasvegasnevada.gov/business and click on the Business Outreach link. Pre-registration closes May 26, but there also will be on-site registration 8 to 9 a.m. June 2.
Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman is scheduled to welcome those attending the event at 9 a.m., to be followed by discussions of several topics to help businesses better work with the city’s Purchasing and Contracts Division. Topics will include:
Understanding Nevada Revised Statute (NRS) 332 and competitive bidding exceptions;
Understanding NRS 338;
Your business in the city of Las Vegas;
Emergency planning;
Bid and request for proposal submissions and pricing – how to get it right;
Becoming certified as an emerging small business; and
Statement of qualifications process.
