City Partnering With Downtown Project on Two New Parking Lots
The city of Las Vegas is helping create additional parking options downtown by partnering with the Downtown Project to open two new parking lots east of Las Vegas Boulevard.
Through the partnership, the Downtown Project has developed its empty lots into temporary parking areas to support the growing number of visitors attracted by all the development downtown. The city’s Parking Services Division will operate and patrol the lots. The parking areas are as follows:
Llama Lot (site of the old Ambassador Hotel) on Ninth & Fremont streets
359 spaces
Metered parking: $1 per hour, $6 all day
Monthly parking: $30 per month
Special Event Parking: Varies from $5 to $15
Gold Spike Lot (northeast corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Odgen)
76 spaces
Daytime Metered Parking: $2 per hour, $10 all day
Night/Weekend Metered Parking: $7.50 Flat Rate
Monthly parking: $50 per month
Special Event Parking: Varies from $10 to $30
Both lots will be open for special event parking for First Friday this month and they will stay open under the terms of the agreement with the city for three years.
