The organizers of the Vegas Loves Brazil Festival are bringing back the mega popular event which highlights everything the Brazilian culture has to offer.

Las Vegas isn't just for gambling anymore. The city boasts an eclectic variety of fun. “The short description is that Las Vegas is a melting pot of fun” says Ramon Van Meer, the founder and organizer of the Vegas Loves Brazil festival. Van Meer is once again, pulling out all the stops to make this year’s event bigger and better than its previous version.
The 2nd annual Vegas Loves Brazil is shaping up to be a “must attend” event for the entire Vegas valley and beyond. It is also the 2nd largest festival of its kind. Last year’s festival drew in 6000 people to the Clark County Amphitheater. This year, the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino will host the event. “Last year was crazy. We exceeded all expectation on how many people would come. It was an amazing and educational experience on how we wanted to do it in 2014” Van Meer says.
The events originally started out as small invites among Van Meer’s Facebook friends where the groups would meet up at various local parks to celebrate and indulge in the Brazilian culture. It wasn't until late in 2012 when Van Meer and the festival’s co-founder Cliff Martin began the rigorous planning stage to bring the unique Brazilian culture to the masses.”Our fundamental belief was that all of Las Vegas has to experience the Brazilian culture and what we know to be a perfect formula of entertainment for everyone to enjoy” Van Meer says.
Van Meer promises the 2014 event will be the best one yet by adding an additional day. “Last year was great but it felt too short so we added another day to accommodate everyone who wants to go” says Van Meer.
The 2014 festival will take place on April 5th and 6th at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and will feature an array of Brazilian food, music and fun.
Van Meer says there will be over 110 different artists from Brazil performing live from music acts to capoeira and samba shows, 60 booths showing off the best in Brazilian food. In addition, there will be arts and crafts for the kids as well as 20 carnival rides for the young and old, from a Ferris wheel to a small roller coaster. “We want the festival to focus on every aspect of fun for those individuals and families who plan to attend. Aside from the carnival rides, we will have a ton of other fun activities for kids including bounce houses and face painting” explains Van Meer. He also wants everyone to know about the free workshops including Brazilian Samba dance classes, capoeira and Samba Percussion for those wanting to expand on the amazing cultural experiences only the Brazilian culture can offer.
Van Meer guarantees that everyone will enjoy the variety of amazing Brazilian food and beverage options which will include bars featuring the official cocktail of Brazil, the Caipirinha as well as several beer options for those adults 21 and over.
The organizers are excited to also announce the 2014’s partnership sponsorships with Toyota as the lead sponsor for the event as well as Texas de Brazil restaurant, Brazilian rum maker, Leblon, TheLivingPages and many more.
The festival will take place on Saturday, April, 5th and Sunday, April 6th at the Rio All-Suite Hotel from 11 am to 11pm. Tickets for the event can be purchased for $8 at the event's website, http://www.vegaslovesbrazil.com and kids under 54' get in free.
